Malu Health is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please call 000.
If you require urgent mental health support, please contact an appropriate crisis support service in your state or territory.

4. Appointments and Online Bookings

Where the Website allows appointment requests or online bookings:

  • booking requests are subject to confirmation by the clinic

  • clinician availability cannot be guaranteed

  • please ensure the information you submit is accurate

  • we may contact you to confirm or reschedule appointments

From time to time, appointments may need to be rescheduled where reasonably necessary.

Where telehealth or digital services are offered:

  • service quality may depend on your internet connection and device

  • occasional interruptions or technical issues may occur

  • telehealth may not be suitable for all clinical situations

Frequently Asked Questions

What mental health services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of mental health services, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Pregnancy and postpartum support, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focussed CBT (TF-CBT), Behaviour Therapy.

We also provide comprehensive psychological assessments including IQ, behavioural, academic, and diagnostic tests.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment by contacting us by phone or email. Our team will assist you in finding a convenient time and the right psychologist to meet your needs.

What funding sources do you accept?

We accept Medicare referrals, and private health funds. AMC Psychology is also a registered NDIS provider, and we provide services to all types of NDIS plans. We also accept WorkCover and CTP referrals. Contact us for more information on how to access services under these schemes.

Do you offer bulk billing?

As a private practice, there is a gap fee when accessing psychology with a Medicare referral. If you are accessing services through the NDIS or WorkCover, there is no out of pocket cost.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, our cancellation policy is that we require 48 hours notice over two business days, in order to cancel or reschedule an appointment. For changes made inside of the 48 hours, the full consultation fee will still apply. This policy is designed to ensure fairness to all clients as well as our team.

Do you offer therapy for children and adolescents?

Yes, we provide psychological services to people of all ages, including children and adolescents.

During your initial appointment, our psychologists will seek to understand your specific needs and set goals for your treatment. This may involve discussing your current challenges, relevant history, and personal background. Based on this information, we will create a tailored treatment plan to address your concerns and support your mental health journey.
